Wyoming law requires that non-resident hunters be accompanied by a licensed Wyoming guide if hunting for big game in any designated wilderness area. Big Sandy Lodge operates under State of Wyoming Outfitter License BG 100. Your hunt includes comfortable accommodations, hot meals, professional guides, trail horses if needed, field dressing, and packing your game into the lodge. BSL Guides hunt elk primarily with the Call & Stalk method. This method can often be very intense. We strongly recommend that hunters arrive in good shape and physically capable of following Guides to elevations of 11,000' if necessary.
Big Sandy Lodge books a maximum of 10-12 guided hunts (not more than 2 groups of 6 hunters) per year. A deposit of 50% must be received in order to confirm your hunt. Deposits are non-refundable. Remaining balance is due upon arrival. Canceled hunts may still use this deposit with Big Sandy Lodge up to 3 years after a canceled reservation. After 3 years, any unused deposits will become property of Big Sandy Lodge.
